The Louisiana Supreme Court Report is a service of Louisiana Legal. Each time a decision is released by the Louisiana Supreme Court, we analyze the decision, summarize the decision's key important points, and publish the summary on the Louisiana Supreme Court Report page. The name of each case, which can be found at the end of the summary, is a link to the full decision. Writ applications and decisions without commentary are usually not reported. Subscriptions

Subscriptions to the Louisiana Supreme Court Report are free. To subscribe, simply click on the "Subscribe" button and then enter your email address in the box. Brief summaries of the most recent Supreme Court opinions will be emailed to you as they are released. This will allow you to decide whether the decision is important to you. If it is, a link to the site will take you to the summaries. Links on the summaries can take you to the original, full reported decision. Summaries are emailed only after any new decisions are released. The Supreme Court typically releases decisions about once per week, although they are occasionally released two days in a row.

Privacy: Your email address will not be released to anyone else. It will be used only to send you summaries of the court decisions. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the "Subscribe" button again and then choosing the "Unsubscribe" option.

Archives

The main page displays the last 12 summaries. As decisions move off the bottom of the page, they are archived by month. To see the decisions published in January, for example, click on the 01/01/2003-01/31/2003 link under archives to be taken to all decision summaries for that month.

Permalinks

Permalinks are a permanent link for each summary. If you want to save or bookmark a particular summary, it can always be found again by its permalink –even if the summary has been moved to the archives. The permalink appears immediately after the summary.
