I'm looking for a starting point for grandparents seeking custody of their infant grandson.  There's drug addiction, spousal abuse, check fraud, insurance fraud - several  issues.  Is it best to call family services first?  File for custody?  Where should this process start?  Any suggestions are much appreciated and/or personal experiences.
Thanks!

Hard to say without knowing all the details, but my gut reaction is to not get child services involved. It really boils down to how hard the evidence is as to drug problems. Convictions obviously would be ideal. Getting custody for non-parents is always a difficult thing to accomplish.
