Is a Mississipi Will valid in Louisiana.  Deceased left real estate in Louisiana and was wondering if I have to open succession here to put the property in possession of spouse as stated in will.

As long as the will is valid in Mississippi, it will be valid here.  LA C.C.P. art. 2888.  The atty handling probate in MS should contact an atty here in LA and he/she will do an ancillary succession in the parish where the property is located, only covering the LA property.  There could be legal issues regarding the disposition of the property - you'll need an LA lawyer, but it shouldn't be too costly.
