      Can grandparents insure a grandchild if they do not have custody or a court order? The child is covered under Medicaid.

      Most insurance providers are going to want at least a power of attorney from the parent or legal guardian giving you authority to contract for coverage.So, the short answer is that it depends on the insurance company, but they will want to cover themselves.

      I agree with Lex, it is totally depends upon the insurance companies as different companies have their own terms and conditions for insurance.
