My ex tried unsuccessfully to relocate my highschool-aged children (custody evaluator recommended against it and judge indicated in pretrial conference she would likely deny) and we negotiated and recorded a custody order (July 2017) naming me as domiciliary parent with primary physical custody. My ex relocated out of state and now sees the children on longer school breaks and majority of summer. The custody order is silent as to where I live with the children. I have a job opportunity in another state and am inclined to take it. As long as I comply with notification requirements as to our location, can my ex petition the court for revised custody because of the move or is there a standstill period during which custody cannot be readdressed?
